Each year, the CFCP organizes a public lecture for the community touching on themes related to how philosophy can help us to understand interpersonal conflict and related issues.

This year’s public lecture will be delivered by Professor Nico Cornell (Law, Michigan).

Past Conferences

The CFCP also sponsors some kind of small conference event each spring or summer. Past conferences have included a workshop on Niko Kolodny’s book manuscript (summer 2021), a conference on the philosophy of conflict (summer 2022), the political philosophy of online speech (spring 2023), disciplinary perspectives on conflict (summer 2024), and the positive effects of technology (summer 2025). This summer our conference is on the philosophy of breakups (summer 2026).
